Spelling Skills_Vowels_Sounds_Level Two_Vowel Consonant
A tactile method for learning the critical skills of sound analysis and blending
This technique is suitable for children aged 4 through to adults.  Allow about fifteen minutes for this lesson.  It follows on from Level One Vowels Sounds Lessons and is designed for those dyslexics and dyspraxics who have a firm knowledge of the vowel (A, E, I, O, U) sounds and of the sounds of some consonants (non-vowel letters, such as T).  This technique uses a tactile, multi-sensory approach to initiate the blending together of two sounds: a vowel and a consonant.  No writing is involved; the activity concentrates purely on engaging the dyslexic or dyspraxic in the process of sound analysis and blending which will be fundamental to spelling and reading ability.  You will receive by e-mail a one-page PDF to print which contains full instructions for this lesson.
